Terms of Service
Draft pending final legal review before public launch. It isn't legal advice.
This is a plain-language agreement, but it is still the agreement. If anything here is unclear, email us at contact@rpgenclave.com before you use the service.
1. Who we are
RPG Enclave (rpgenclave.com) is operated by Grzegorz Kegel, a private individual, contactable at contact@rpgenclave.com (“we”, “us”). We provide the service under the Polish Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means; these Terms are our regulamin.
2. What RPG Enclave is
A place to build a public, shareable tabletop-RPG profile card, list characters and the systems you play, post campaign listings on the Notice Board, and — if you both choose to — swap contact details with another player or GM about a game. It's free. There is no in-app payment and no marketplace.
3. Who can use it
You must be 18 or older to create an account or publish anything. When you sign up you confirm that you are. We don't verify age, so this is your honest word; using the service if you're under 18 is a breach of these Terms. RPG Enclave is not directed to children.
4. Your account
You sign in with a one-time email link or with Discord. Keep access to your inbox/Discord secure — anyone who can receive your login can reach your account. One person, real use; don't impersonate anyone or run bulk/fake accounts.
5. Your content, and the licence you give us
Everything you add — your profile, tagline, bio, characters, portraits, campaign listings, answers — is yours. To show it, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize, display and share that content for the purpose of running RPG Enclave — for example rendering your public card, generating its preview image, and letting it be found by search engines. This licence lasts while the content is on the platform and ends when you delete it (allowing for short technical caches and backups). You confirm you have the right to everything you upload, including any portrait image — don't upload art or photos you don't have the right to use, and don't upload a real person's photo without their permission.
6. Public by design
A published profile and any campaign you advertise on the Notice Board are public: anyone with the link can see them and search engines can index them. Don't put anything on your card you wouldn't want to be public. Your account email is never shown. Contact details are shared with another user only when you explicitly choose to share them on a campaign join request.
7. Acceptable use
Use RPG Enclave for its purpose and keep it a decent place. Full rules are in our Community Guidelines, but in short — don't:
- harass, threaten, or post hateful content targeting people;
- post sexual content involving minors — ever, zero tolerance;
- impersonate someone, or post someone's private information without consent;
- post spam, scams, malware, or advertising unrelated to tabletop games;
- break the law or try to break, overload, or scrape the service.
Dark, violent, or grim fictional themes are part of many RPG genres and are welcome — we look for real harm, not fictional grimness.
8. Moderation and reporting
Anyone can report content at /legal/report or report@rpgenclave.com. A person reviews every report. If content breaks these Terms we may remove it, and we may suspend or close accounts for repeat or serious violations. Where we remove your content or restrict your account, we'll tell you the reason and how to contest it, unless the law prevents us. Any child sexual abuse material is reported to the authorities (NCMEC CyberTipline) as legally required.
9. Ending your use
You can edit your profile at any time in the editor. To remove your profile or close your account, email us at contact@rpgenclave.com and we'll action it within 30 days. We can suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or the law, or to protect the service or other users. If we end things without cause, we'll aim to give you reasonable notice.
10. The service is provided “as is”
RPG Enclave is a free service offered as-is and as-available. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any listing, profile, or user is genuine, safe, or suitable. You are responsible for your own safety when arranging or attending any game, online or in person. We are not a party to anything you arrange with other users and do not vet them.
11. Our liability
Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or intentional harm). To the fullest extent the law allows, and because this is a free service, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or opportunities, or for the acts of other users or third parties. Your mandatory rights as a consumer under Polish and EU law are unaffected by this section.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms as the product grows. If a change is significant we'll give reasonable notice (a notice on the site or by email) before it takes effect. Continuing to use RPG Enclave after that means you accept the updated Terms; if you don't, you can close your account.
13. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of Poland. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your own country of residence and can bring claims there. We'd always rather sort things out by email first — contact@rpgenclave.com. EU users can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
